It’s time to make some noise.

We are working hard to get everything ready for Colossal Kaiju Combat’s upcoming early access and this week we wanted prove we can hear you.  In order to do so we made sure the in game voice chat options are now functional.  We also made sure the main audio options are configured, and more!  View the patch notes here.
The SPN3 cards are also ready, so you can go here to order.   The news is not over yet! SPN4 sponsorships will begin in August and sponsorship tickets will be only $5 so you can spread your sponsorships around.
You can keep up to date with all of the details of Colossal Kaiju Combat and Sunstone Games with our official “What’s happening when?” thread.

SPN6 Draws Near!

SPN5 sold out, SPN6 coming soon!
Our stock of SPN4 and SPN5 cards has been emptied. We are very happy to see folks enjoying the TGG! All SPN6 EVO art has also been completed and sent in. The regular SPN art should be finished in the next couple days. This means that SPN6 should be out by Christmas, just as planned! Soon, we will be asking for fan-art to be used as combat cards for the official card game. So artists, get your paper and pencil ready!

Voice vs. Text
As we work on making the Fall of Nemesis more compatible with Kaijuland Battles, we are discussing the need for the current in-game voice feature. Being able to use a mic in KLB takes up a lot of bandwidth. We are trying to figure out if the game would benefit from a text-based chat, rather than having a faulty microphone feature not many players use.

A Smashing Reveal For October.

New Progenitor Reveal!
Our next SPN2 winner, Gurral, has been shown to the public. Go read his intergalactic adventure on the CKC wiki and comment on his official design thread. Speaking of Gurral, have you read his official comic book yet? Take the time to check it out – you won’t regret it!
CKC TCG Play Session in Oregon.
SPN6 is about 50% finished and is expected to be shipped out by this Christmas. In other news, we’ve scheduled an official card game play session on the evening of October 29th at Funagain Games! If you are around the Eugene, Oregon area, please make sure to stop by and say hello… and maybe play a game or two with us?
Worldship Board Game Updates.
During Indie Game Con, we held demos for “The Worldship” with positive reactions from the public! We are currently working on finalizing the card mix, and working on shorter game parameters. Our next public play session may be in mid-November. If you want to schedule a long game, contact us over at info@sunstone.co and we can try working something out.
Game and Wiki Updates.
We unfortunately have another situation to deal with in game development. Unexpected occurrences have forced us to start searching for a new environment artist for Colossal Kaiju Combat. But don’t worry, work is still being done on the game! Expect to character attacks and animations in the upcoming weeks.
Wiki updating is also being looked into. Please review this thread to tell us what you hope to get out of the wiki section!

TCG Team-Building Challenge.

We are asking fans of the Colossal Kaiju Combat Trading Card game to construct their own team and share it with us over on the forums. Please decide on four different Team Cards, and create a team of monsters for each one. It would be preferable if each monster had similar Ferocity/Agility scores and overlapping attributes. These features can really make a destructive squad of kaiju! Simon Strange will read all of the entries and suggestions will be given on how to improve your choices. If you choose wisely, your team suggestion may be used in a future starter deck!

September Mid-Month Monster Revealed.

Fall of Nemesis on Steam.
To avoid having to go through the Greenlight process yet again, Valve has trusted us enough to just add new file depots to Steam when we request them for CKC. This means that we no longer have to worry about getting enough votes to have each CKC release on Steam. Colossal Kaiju Combat: Fall of Nemesis is currently on Steam. Although private, the game will go public and be available for purchase when complete. When will you finally get your hands on our latest CKC game? Here is the likely timeline:
9/7/2015 – Fall of Nemesis created on Steam depot.
October, 2015 – 6 characters playable.
November, 2015 – Alpha Kickstarter backers are given access to the Steam depot.
December, 2015 – Story mode Act 1 implemented.
January, 2016 – 11 characters playable.
February, 2016 – Beta Kickstarter backers are given access to the Steam depot.
March – May, 2016 – Videos, combat, VFX, & UI polish.
June, 2016 – Fall of Nemesis released.
Sun Stones PC port.
With the upcoming release of Fall of Nemesis, we’ve been also wanting to submit a PC port of our first game, Sun Stones, to Steam Greenlight. Due to the unpopularity of puzzle games on Steam, we cannot skip the Greenlight process like we do with the Colossal Kaiju Combat games. This will require a month  or two of hard work, but it will all be worth it in the end if fans show the game some support! If any of you folks would like to help test the Windows or Mac ports of the game, please contact us!
Mid-Month Monster reveal for September!
This week, Brutusk was next in line for our progenitor monster line-up. Make sure to read his chilling origins here and to comment on his official design thread. Look out for one new progenitor monster reveal the 15th of every month.

New progenitor monster revealed!

We are finally moving on to the SPN2 progenitor monsters, look out for them on the 15th of every month. We are ditching “Monster Mondays” and beginning “Mid Monster Reveals”. SPN6 is in progress.
100% of the SPN6 winners were able to successfully return their contracts by the due date. The brand new CKC characters and their creators are listed on the official wiki. This brand new card set will feature various kaiju illustrated by Frankie B Washington. Our new EVO artist, Tyler Sowles is also illustrating seven new art pieces. As if this set couldn’t get any better, Tyler has also agreed to let his monster, Durontus, be a special guest in SPN6! (Psst, have you backed Durontus: The Lost Serpent 2 on Kickstarter yet?).
